The Ritchie Vineyard has been active in El Dorado County, California since the Barbera Wine Grape Vines were planted in 1968. There are 18 acres at 1,600 feet, where the hillside site produces award winning harvests, annually. Vines are headpruned on stakes at 8 x 12 spacing. EID water is by overhead sprinklers. Soil is AxD, primarily.

Ritchie Vineyard and Livestock Ranch is a GOOD NEIGHBOR.

  • provide reasonable environmental standards for the community
  • protect private property against all attacks
  • support property rights legislation dealing with water rights, preserving wildlife, and wetlands
  • support research showing agriculture's value in dealing with air quality standards, and continues to support research showing agriculture's contribution to preserving the county's air quality
