I recently acquired my Dream Bike: a 1994 PC800 and name it "SPEEDBIRD" (License plate: "SPDBIRD", NC).

Below is a extract of a report I wrote on my first ride with "her" and explains how she got that name:

 

"I found the bike to be a dream to “pilot” and we immediately established a connection as we glided effortless on the OH & PA Turnpike. The winter scenery totally made me feel like a kid on Christmas morning. Diverting my attention from the countryside to the instrumentation, I realized that I had unknowingly accelerated past 85mph without the slightest discomfort or vibration… Before I started throttling back to a more conservative speed, the wind wrapping around our symbiosis softly whispered her name to me… She called herself “Speed Bird”, the epitome of grace and power."
