We have a weekly practice schedule on Wednesday nights. Details about practices can be found below.

Chenrezig Meditation
Every Wednesday night

6:00pm Mahakala Practice followed by 6:30pm Chenrezig Meditation

You are welcome to attend Mahakala practice, sit silently and absorb the blessings. Mahakala texts are not provided, because one must have the appropriate empowerment (initiation) to work with that text. Also, please do not hesitate to come in, sit down and make yourselves comfortable until Chenrezig practice starts at 6:30 pm.

Chenrezig (or Avalokiteshvara) is the deity embodying the compassionate activity of Buddha nature. Transliterated traditional Tibetan texts with English translation are provided for guests. The Chenrezig practice consists of chanting, visualization, mantra recitation and silent meditation.

Shinay Meditation
Every Sunday Morning

9:30am Shinay Meditation

Shinay is one of the fundamental meditation techniques. It allows one to calm their mind so that the true enlightened nature is manifest and one can lead their life in happiness. Shinay meditation is the mind resting one-pointedly so that fewer thoughts arise and the mind eventually becomes stable and calm. The mind is not distracted, overcome by anger, sadness, regret or desire.

Mingyur Rinpoche has a detailed explanation of the Shinay meditation Here.
