I've heard of some places selling parts for amazing prices, like $24 for a set of four wheels and tires! (For that price, you could go buy a whole new model, and send the old one to me!) Well, that sounds as crazy to me as it does to you. So I've decided to keep my prices reasonable. We all have to keep in mind what these cars are REALLY worth -- they're mass produced, and relatively inexpensive. Sure, there are exceptions -- Exotos, Kyoshos, Autoart, and the like -- but most of them retail for $25 or less, and are often available for much less.
So I'm trying to price them at prices I'd be willing to pay, prices I think are fair -- maybe even TOO low. I'm not really looking to make much money on this, so I can afford to be reasonable, but I would like for it to pay for itself.
I hope the good will these pricing policies generate will lead to all my diecast friends out there sending their damaged cars to me. If I can get them cheaply, I can sell them cheaply, and we all win.
