What's News!

at Wayne's 1:18 Diecast Main Page!

Updated January 25, 2000

This page gives you a quick guide to the changes to my site since the last update. You might want to bookmark this page, as I intend to update the site with new reviews regularly. I'll also mention here when something new arrives in the Salvage Yard.

But more than just what's new on the Website, I'll also use this page to post any news I find relating to 1:18 diecast models. So it's not just what's new, it's What's News.

From the rumor mill, this time: In an apparent little victory over Mattel, Bburago has again won the right to make Ferrari's next car -- this time the 360 Modena Spyder. Like the last time, they won this by being ready to deliver a car on a tight deadline, when Mattel was unwilling or unable to promise that. Look for the 360 Spyder as a 2001 model, both from Ferrari and Bburago.

For this update, something great has happened: I borrowed a digital camera last weekend, and took over 800 photos, mostly of my car collection. The fruits of that epic photo shoot are already cropping up here: fifteen of my reviews are now richly illustrated with photos.

To make it easy for you to see the photos, I'm providing a list of the fifteen, right here:

  • Anson Ferrari Dino 246
  • Anson Lamborghini Miura
  • Bburago Ferrari 288 GTO
  • Bburago Ferrari 348tb
  • Bburago Ferrari 550 Maranello
  • Bburago Ferrari F40
  • Bburago Ferrari Testarossa
  • Bburago Dodge Viper RT/10
  • Kyosho Ferrari 512BB
  • Maisto Ferrari F50
  • Maisto "Last C4" 1996 Corvette
  • Maisto McLaren F1
  • Maisto Porsche 550 RS
  • Polistil Lamborghini Countach
  • UT BMW Z3

And, some more acquisitions coming in since the last update, just two this time: Mira's Ferrari 348 Spyder and Maisto's Dodge Viper GTS-R. The complete list of cars yet to be reviewed (as of this date) can be found by clicking here.

Future updates will include more reviews, a Links page, detailing information, and many more photos! So bookmark this site, and check back often!
